Ute Lake SP Bridge Replacement (EMNRD)

June 17, 2022 @ 9:00 AM - June 19, 2022 @ 12:00 PM

Contact Leader(s): Mike Timmer, 281-622-6858, m.timmer@nmvfo.org; Don Lemke, d.lemke@nmvfo.org with any questions.

RESULTS: On June 18, 8 NMVFO volunteers spent two days volunteering at Ute Lake State Park. They were able to dismantle an old degrading trail bridge and build a new one in its place. They were also able to repair a second trail bridge. Some sections of the trail were being eroded from water runoff so the volunteers installed 14 water drainage diversions and filled in the eroded sections.
