Valle de Oro RMYC ADD-ON

RESULTS: Five Rocky Mountain Youth Corps crew members assigned to the Valle de Oro NWR worked with Albuquerque Open Space staff and NMVFO volunteers to build new trail in the Tijeras Biozone Open Space. The field work was accomplished on July 14 through July 16. Five NMVFO volunteers participated in this Add-On project. In addition, a premeeting was held Monday, July 13, to introduce the crew to the NMVFO mission and history. In addition, Natalia Hernandez-Sanchez of Salinas National Monument and interns, Aaron and Estefania, provided an excellent presentation on National Park Service career opportunities.

What is an add-on? We organize several off-schedule short-notice word-of-mouth projects during the trail season. If you show up to a large number of projects, mention to your project leader that you are interested.
