Public land agencies that are interested in proposing a project should contact our Projects Team (projects@nmvfo.org) for more information and our easy-to-complete project proposal form.

Trail Workshop – Classroom

Description: Two experienced project leaders from New Mexico Volunteers for the Outdoors will give members of this class an introduction to trail work. After demonstrating the types of tools used, there will be a PowerPoint slideshow on how trails are built and maintained, as well examples of other NMVFO projects throughout New Mexico. Several short videos will further highlight trail work techniques in both desert and mountain terrain. Advance registration required. Please click on the link below to register. Attendees are also invited for some on-the-job training, rerouting a trail on Saturday, March 14, near the Indian School trailhead in the Sandia Foothills with Albuquerque Open Space Division.
