Tijeras Biozone Center Trail with Valle de Oro YCC

June 22, 2023 @ 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Contact Leader(s): Ed DiBello, 505-705-2584, e.dibello@nmvfo.org with any questions.

RESULTS: The Valle de Oro Youth Conservation Corp (YCC) crew and volunteers from NMVFO worked with Albuquerque Open Space staff to build a section of new trail at the Tijeras Biozone Center. Open Space staff provided hands-on trail construction and rock work training to the YCC crew. On the previous day, June 21, NMVFO presented an overview of NMVFO’s accomplishments and a tutorial on Trail Building & Maintenance to the YCC crew. The collaboration of Albuquerque Open Space and Valle de Oro staff members allowed this project to happen and is greatly appreciated.
