Latino Outdoors – 2026 Spring Bows in Burque

Description: Come help NMVFO staff a booth at the Latino Outdoors’ Spring Bows in Burque event on Saturday May 9th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event provides hands-on outdoor experiences for residents. We’ll have our two-person crosscut saw, logs, and crossbuck for folks and kids to try out their lumberjack skills.
Staffing the booth is easy and fun as you get to talk with visitors about NMVFO’s wide range of projects, training, and social events, about the camaraderie we experience during our projects, and the satisfaction of giving something back to New Mexico’s outdoors. But most of all we get to see the smiles on their faces as they buck a log for the first time and take home a cutoff souvenir.
