Gran Quivira Painting Project (Salinas Pueblo Missions NM)

RESULTS: Six NMVFO volunteers joined National Park Service staff to refurbish information signs at the Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, Gran Quivira site. The VFO work crew masked, sanded, washed, and spray painted the metal frames for 11 information signs located throughout the monument. The NPS staff provided all painting supplies and significant support. New information signs will be installed in the refurbished frames. Cool weather with some (20% chance) sprinkles and homemade brownies made for an enjoyable day.
