Earth Day Tabling Event

RESULTS: Eleven NMVFO volunteers supported Albuquerque’s Earth Day event by staffing a table to inform visitors about NMVFO and allow them to sign up for NMVFO’s newsletter. Two former Forest Service employees and long-time NMVFO volunteers brought a collection of saws and other equipment and explained their uses to clear brush and logs from trails. Participants were encouraged to use a two-person crosscut saw to cut through a pine log – probably a one-time experience for many of them.
