Borrego & Bear Wallow (Santa Fe NF)

RESULTS: A National Public Lands Day project focusing on much-needed tread work and lopping on the Borrego Trail #150 and Bear Wallow Trail #182 in the Santa Fe National Forest near Hyde Park. Volunteers were able to improve the tread on 400 feet of trail and install 30 water features/drainage improvements on the Borrego Trail, and clear 26 drainages and lopped .6 miles on the Bear Wallow Trail.

Description: Join us for a National Public Lands Day project as we do much-needed tread work on the Borrego Trail #150 in the Santa Fe National Forest near Hyde Park. As time allows, we will work on tread and lop on the loop created by Borrego Trail, Bear Wallow Trail #182, and Winsor Trail #254.

Meeting Location: Borrego Trailhead, just above Hyde Park State Park on the road up to the ski area. Google Map link.
