Aldo Leopold House ADD-ON
Contact Leader(s): Uwe Schroeter, u.schroeter@nmvfo.org with any questions.
RESULTS: Seven NMVFO volunteers traveled to Tres Piedras to assist with maintenance at the historic Aldo Leopold House. The crew stained the porch railings, painted the side soffits, and enjoyed a guided tour of the 8-acre property with caretaker Richard Rubin. The trip also included an overnight stay at the House, a visit to the local ranger station, and a scouting hike to Mosaic Rock Campground to explore future volunteer opportunities.
What is an add-on? We organize several off-schedule short-notice word-of-mouth projects during the trail season. If you show up to a large number of projects, mention to your project leader that you are interested.
