NMVFO plans 20+ volunteer work projects each year. Click here for a printable overview of the current project season, and check back often for additional information posted as it becomes available. Public land agencies that are interested in proposing a project should contact our Projects Team (projects@nmvfo.org) for more information and our easy-to-complete project proposal form.

  • Trail Workshop Class

    Join us at 6:00 PM at REI Albuquerque for a classroom introduction to trail construction and maintenance

  • Guadalupe Ruins

    Repair tread and improve drainage along the 1/4-mile trail to the ruins

  • Morphy Lake State Park

    Help us finish up the 2 miles of sustainable trail around the lake and through the campgrounds and surrounding forest

  • Middle Fork Gila River CDTC

    Join with the CDT Coalition on this backpack project to improve an existing trail in the Gila Wilderness

  • Mora National Fish Hatchery (FWS)

    Come out and help us blaze a half mile of new trail to complete the loop around the hatchery

  • New Canyon CG (Mountainair RD)

    Re-establish tread, clear deadfall, and install signs along the Manzano Crest Trail just south of the New Canyon/Crest Trail junction.
